Precept Leaders Overview

Looking for a place to be used by God to advance His Kingdom? Our Precept leaders are a vital part of Precept Ministries’ mission and vision for the world. Our leaders are used by God to establish people in His Word by leading the Precept Bible studies, and some of the leaders also host our Precept training workshops. Would you like to be a part of what God is doing through Precept?

So what does it take to become a Precept leader? It’s easier than you think! Precept offers leader training workshops which help develop one’s ability to lead the Precept Upon Precept Bible courses. These workshops also equip you to lead our other Bible study material, such as the “Lord” Series and New Inductive Study Series, in an effective way.

Below are descriptions of Leader Workshops available to help you on your journey to lead Inductive Bible Study.

Basics of Precept Upon Precept

Experience the joy of discovering the Truth of the Bible for yourself.

If you’ve never done a Precept Upon Precept (PUP) course, this is where to begin. This workshop will qualify you to lead all PUP courses after learning to do homework and learning how to effectively lead a discussion.

Precept Leader Training

Take the pressure out of leading; enjoy doing it as you watch others enjoy God’s Word!

For those who have studied one or more PUP courses and feel the Lord is leading you to disciple others in a group through biblical discovery. This workshop trains you in how to lead effective discussions using personal lesson plans. You’ll be sent a lesson to complete before the workshop, so please register at least three weeks in advance.

Advanced Leader Training

Enjoy the discovery of taking your leadership skills to the next level.

For those who have led one or more PUP courses and have taken Precept Leader Training. This workshop will train you to lead Old Testament history and prophecy as well as topical studies. You’ll be sent three lessons to complete before the workshop, so please register at least three weeks in advance.
