Precept successfully sold their 32-acre property at 7324 Noah Reid Road, Chattanooga, TN, to Skyuka Hall, a college preparatory school for unique learners. The property was listed for sale in January 2024 and the sale closed mid-June, 2025.

“I cannot express how incredibly grateful I am for this property. I grew up here—it was my childhood home,” said David Arthur, President and CEO of Precept. “The Lord has blessed the ministry with its use for the last 55 years. While it is so very bittersweet to say goodbye, we are excited to see it be used by Skyuka to educate and pour into young people—very much like the start of Reach out Ranch.”

In 1970, Jack and Kay Arthur bought the property, then a chicken farm, and transformed it into a Bible study haven—hosting teen and women’s conferences, countless Bible studies, radio shows, and a popular tv show, Precepts for Life.

“Over the past several years we have moved and transitioned from an event-based ministry to a Bible study resource ministry,” said Arthur. “We are committed to creating and publishing engaging Bible study resources so people can know God deeply by studying the Scriptures for themselves. Precept is excited for the opportunity to invest in our mission and press forward into what the Lord has for us.”

Precept has shifted to a mostly remote workforce since 2020, when the COVID pandemic forced most employees to work from home. Precept will continue to occupy a portion of the property into the near future as they finalize plans for their new headquarters.
