How do you recognize the voice of Jesus?
In John 10, Jesus gives us two powerful pictures of who He is:
He is the Door.
And He is the Good Shepherd.
As the Door, Jesus is the only way into safety, salvation, and true life with God.
As the Good Shepherd, Jesus knows His sheep, calls them by name, leads them, protects them, and lays down His life for them.
In this episode of the Know God Deeply podcast, we continue our season on the I AM statements of Jesus by studying John 10:1–18. You’ll hear how Jesus contrasts Himself with thieves, robbers, strangers, and hired hands, and why His sheep can trust His voice above every other voice.
You’ll also be encouraged to consider the practices that help you know and follow the Good Shepherd: studying Scripture, slowing down, listening, practicing discernment, and obeying Him more quickly.
Because abundant life doesn’t come from striving.
It comes from following the Shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep.
