"God Used Precept to Literally Save My Life!” - Jayne’s Story

Sep 3, 2025

Church is vital. But growing up in church is no guarantee of a genuine, thriving relationship with God.

Jayne can attest to that.

Jayne says she “accepted Christ” at age nine, so she thought she was a genuine believer. But even though she went to church every Sunday, she didn’t truly understand what it meant to be saved.

She says, “I had no idea what salvation was for, why I needed it, or how a relationship with the Lord was a part of it.”

The Word of God was not an important part of Jayne’s life. It just sat on a shelf until church on Sunday and then went right back on that shelf again until the next week.

This pattern went on for years – until she was 24 years old and God brought Precept into her life.

Through Precept studies and resources, Jayne discovered the living and active power of the Word of God to transform her everyday life.

She discovered how inductive Bible study revealed more about the big picture of Scripture.

And she discovered a contagious delight in God’s Word that led her to an intimate knowledge of the Lord.

All of this brought lasting change in her life: “God used Precept to literally save my life! Studying God's Word enabled me to know Him, love Him and obey Him!”

But the impact didn’t stop with her. Jayne now teaches her children how to have this deep and intimate knowledge of the Lord – and leads a group of 40 women through Precept Bible studies, so that they can have a genuine knowledge of God too.

Because that’s the ripple effect of the Word of God.

It changes lives.

And those transformed people go on to help transform other people, by the Holy Spirit's power and to the glory and praise of God.

What if you could help people like Jayne discover true saving faith through the study of God’s Word? Partner with Precept today to help spread the love of God’s Word to men and women all over the world.

“I'd hate to think where I would be had I not walked into a Precept study 25 years ago! I praise God for [Precept’s founder] Kay Arthur and Precept Ministries.” – Jayne P.
